France suffers a huge injury

Prior to their Euro 2020 match against Portugal on Wednesday, France has been dealt a huge injury setback.

During France’s dismal 1-1 draw with Hungary at Euro 2020 on Saturday in Budapest, attacker Ousmane Dembélé went off with an injury.

Hungary upset the Les Bleus, who were forced to settle for a draw after Antione Griezmann cancelled out Atilla Fiola’s first-half goal.

But the tie wasn’t the only setback for the World Champions, as Dembélé suffered an injury despite only coming on as a replacement.

In the 57th minute of the match, Dembélé came off the bench to replace Adrien Rabiot as Didier Deschamps’ side looked for an equaliser.

However, with three minutes remaining, the 24-year-old had to be replaced by Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Lemar due to injury.

His right foot appeared to be injured, which will be a major issue as he seeks to contribute for France for the remainder of the tournament.
